Creating a healthy workplace through mediation

Erickson Mediation Institute provides employers with the opportunity to offer mediation and conflict resolution services in the workplace in a comprehensive package.

This program is designed to create a less contentious atmosphere in the workplace. It builds on the concept of changing the workplace environment and demonstrates the value of this program initially through a presentation and materials. It shows how to change the workplace environment by managing conflict constructively in all aspects of business operations, such as:

• teaching managers skills to manage conflict as it is brought to their attention, and
• using outside mediators to settle internal employee conflicts and disputes with suppliers and contractors.

Dispute resolution
The EMI network of professional mediators are available to come into the workplace to mediate disputes that are not able to be resolved using the internal conflict management process.

Manager training
Managers are often the first people to whom conflict is reported. Erickson Mediation Institute trains managers in conflict resolution and mediation skills so the conflict may be contained and resolved before it rises to the level of a complaint or becomes harmful to others.
