Augsburg students learn family mediation techniques Students pursuing an MSW degree program at Augsburg College heard Marilyn McKnight and Stephen Erickson present the principles and practice of family mediation in late March, 2009. “I appreciated your passion to keep on championing for mediation and constructive conflict resolution, now, as you did 20 years ago,” said Ngoh Tiong Tan, Ph.D., class instructor. Also attending with students was Barbara Edwards Farley, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. Two of the students are considering further mediation training as a result of the presentation. Augsburg College is a liberal arts college in Minneapolis, with 3,785 students from 40 countries. In addition to undergraduate liberal arts and sciences Augsburg offers master’s degree programs in business, education, leadership, nursing, physician assistant studies, and social work. Augsburg also offers graduate and undergraduate level nursing courses as well as supporting degree courses through its Rochester Program based in Rochester, Minnesota.
